根据Entertainment报道，《老友记》为庆祝上映25周年，将会在9月23日、9月28日和10月2日登陆美国院线，播出全新的4K高清版本。

华纳兄弟电视集团主席兼首席市场官Lisa Gregorian表示：“在上映25年之后，《老友记》仍然在持续地带来巨大的影响，这也是Marta Kauffman、David Crane、Kevin Bright和极具天分的剧组们天才的证明。”
